Other kilt styles...

Though the majority of kilts I make are four-yard box pleated kilts, I do occasionally get requests for knife pleated kilts.  Below are prices for a low-yardage knife pleated kilt I offer.  All prices are for standard sizes.  Measurements over 46" will be subject to surcharge.  As with my box pleated kilts, contact me to confirm a price before making payment.

If you prefer knife pleating to box pleating, but still like the idea of a kilt made from less cloth, this style is for you.  Many kilt making firms today offer some form of "casual kilt" made from four or five yards of cloth, often pleated to no pattern, often machine stitched.  What I offer is a completely hand tailored kilt, made from 5 yards of cloth, pleated to stripe, or to your instructions if otherwise desired.

Stock tartans, medium or heavy weight:  $430

Single width cloth, heavy weight (custom weaves):  $560

Your own cloth:  $250

For 8 yard, knife pleated kilts, please order from the Scottish Tartans Museum gift shop.
