Hand Knit Hose Cuffs available with or without full hose
These patterned cuffs are evocative of the "shooting socks" worn by many sportsmen in the UK, and which are favored for Highland dress by many, including HRH the Duke of Rothesay.
You may order just the cuffs, which you can then wear over the top of your own kilt hose -- a great way to dress up an old pair of hose -- or you can order them from us with the sock attached. If you order the full hose, your cuffs will be hand sewn to a pair of machine-knit hose made in Hawick Scotland by the House of Cheviot.
Available in 18 different colors, these hose are a Merino wool blend, and specially reinforced in the foot to allow for a long life of wear. These are machine washable in cold water (gentle cycle). Allow to air dry.
To order, use the form below. You will be contacted about the specific colors you want in your cuffs (I'm happy to make recommendations to go with your tartan). You only need to provide shoe size and hose color if ordering the full hose. Images of the various patterns and colors available are below the order form.

I count myself blessed to be
married to an expert knitter, who is able to keep her kilt-wearing husband in
hand knit kilt hose. Knitting full hose for my long legs is a
time-consuming labor of love. However, we have found it to be much quicker
and more economical to knit the cuffs of the hose and then attach them to a
high-quality machine knit sock base.
